Women Behind Our Spring Dance
This season, our Son de Flor collection is more than linen and thread. It is a celebration of joy, courage, and the deep choice to embrace happiness. Life is a dance, a melody of moments and chances, and it is up to each of us to discover our favorite steps and start dancing. With this collection, we invite you to take more chances, do more dances, and celebrate the beauty of living fully, with grace and openness.

The women who brought this collection to life carry stories that are woven with resilience and joy. They remind us that happiness is not always given, but it is always possible when we choose it, even in the smallest of moments.
Indrė is a dreamer, a believer in the goodness of the world, and an ambassador for self-acceptance. She speaks with tender honesty about learning to make peace with herself and embracing her unique path. "There are days when I don't feel like befriending my disability," she shares, "but I choose to believe that physical limitations are not life sentences. We all have the potential for rich, adventurous lives."

Jura’s life is a beautiful reflection of resilience. From early marriage and heartbreak to rebuilding her life in a new country (UK) without knowing the language, her courage shines through every challenge. She nurtured not only her son but a spirit of hope. She served meals to kings, artists, and everyday people, understanding that food nourishes more than the body. Her journey towards self-love led her to shed what no longer served her, emerging as a woman who believes that the greatest celebration is the light shining from within. "Our dreams don't have an expiry date," she says. "They unfold in their own time, becoming pearls in the necklace of our life."

Kunigunda’s childhood was a tapestry of love and shadow, shaped by her courageous mother, a signatory of Lithuania’s independence. Her path was marked by art and resilience, enduring personal trials and dedicating herself to caring for her family. Yet, she never stopped creating. She founded the 'Baltas Kubas' studio, a haven where women can express their inner worlds through painting. "Through art, we speak the unspeakable," she reflects, "transforming pain into beauty."

Santa's journey has been one of self-growth and perseverance. Overcoming personal battles, she is a quiet testament to strength born from vulnerability. She thrives on connection, learning, and helping others, believing that growth is a lifelong adventure. "Life is about constant evolution," she says, "and every challenge is an opportunity to become better, for myself and for the world."

At just 21, Lys is carving her path with courage—born in Congo, raised in France, now studying medicine in Lithuania to become a doctor, far from home and family. In a foreign language, in an unfamiliar place, she faces the doubts: Am I enough? Will I make it? She reminds us all that the journey is unique, incomparable. The only person you need to impress is the child you once were and the elder you will become. "Would your 5-year-old self look at you in wonder? Would your 80-year-old self smile with pride?" she asks. If the answer is yes, you are exactly where you need to be."

Violeta's life is a story of strength, love, and reinvention. Her journey led her through love, loss, and deep personal reflection. Now living in beautiful Malta, she finds joy in creating safe spaces for women through retreats, fostering connection and self-discovery. As a mother of 3, she celebrates motherhood every day, cherishing the simple moments of love and gratitude. "Happiness is not something given," she says. "It is something we build, layer by layer, with love and courage."

Joana is more than our photographer; she is a dear friend of many years, a woman who has stood with me through life's twists and turns. Her art is a reflection of her soul – thoughtful, tender, and deeply observant. She finds beauty in everyday moments, capturing not just images but emotions and stories. Her work is more than photographs; it's a celebration of moments we wish to remember forever.

My own journey is stitched into every Son de Flor design. Life has brought me lessons of love, loss, and growth. Raising my two sons, starting Son de Flor from a place of hope and resilience, and walking the path of creation and learning, I have learned that strength is born from gentle perseverance. Happiness, for me, is a dance I continue to learn every day. Together, we build a community that feels like home, where each story, each smile, and each challenge faced becomes a part of the fabric we weave together.

Each of these women reminds us that beauty is layered. It is found in courage, in the soft strength to keep moving forward, and in the quiet resilience of the heart. In our collection, they are more than models; they are storytellers, dreamers, and warriors of life.
This spring, let us remember that happiness is a choice, and life is a form of dance. It is an art of embracing moments, finding courage in new steps, and allowing ourselves to move with joy. As we wear linen, we carry these stories with us – of courage, hope, and the unstoppable spirit of womanhood. Take more chances. Do more dance. And let the new light of spring guide you gently forward.
From my heart to yours, Vaida & Son de Flor Girls :)*
