Cozy Season Staples
There is something about October that makes us want to come home a little earlier, light a candle, put the kettle on, and find something warm to wrap ourselves in. The days are getting shorter, the trees are putting on their most beautiful colours before letting them go, and somewhere in the back of our minds, we are already beginning to think about the season that follows, with its family gatherings, familiar traditions, and all those little things we look forward to as winter approaches.
With this in mind, we’re introducing our Cozy Season Staples a little earlier than usual this year. A thoughtful selection of favourite silhouettes, beautiful colours and patterns, chosen for the season of slower mornings, crisp walks, cozy afternoons, and evenings spent in good company.
Designed to be layered, lived in, and loved for years to come, these are the pieces that make getting dressed feel a little more special, this season and many more to follow.
This year, that special something is Crimson Tartan.
A Little Festive, A Little Everyday, and Very Much Autumn
Oh, how we love a good tartan! There is something wonderfully familiar about it, a little nostalgic, a little romantic, with that lovely countryside feeling that makes us think of old houses, woollen blankets, books by the fireplace, and long walks through gardens covered in fallen leaves. We have always loved how tartan carries a certain sense of tradition without ever really belonging to one particular time or season, and Crimson Tartan feels very much like that to us.

Its beautiful red base, crossed with darker and softer lines, carries just enough festive spirit to make it feel special, but not so much that you would have to wait until December to wear it. In fact, looking at the photographs from our autumn garden, we couldn't help thinking how naturally it belongs among the golden leaves, deep reds, and fading greens of October, and how beautifully it will continue into November and through the winter months.
We can already imagine it with a favorite pair of boots and a favorite woollen piece for an autumn walk, with a cozy sweater on a cold November morning, or dressed up with a beautiful linen accessories (collar or a ribbon), or a little jewellery when the festive invitations begin to arrive. We have always loved clothes that don't need a particular occasion to be worn, but somehow make even the most ordinary day feel a little more special, and that is exactly what we hope Crimson Tartan will become.
Meet the Crimson Tartan Family
For this little collection, we have chosen five silhouettes that we feel bring out different sides of the same beautiful fabric, allowing every woman to find her own way of wearing it.
Our Smock Gaia Dress carries that relaxed, romantic spirit we love so much, with plenty of room to move and simply be yourself, while the Diane Dress brings her familiar grace and femininity to the collection. We have also chosen the Ivy Dress, another lovely silhouette that feels right at home in tartan and brings its own personality to the season.
For those who enjoy mixing and matching, we have included our Clementine Shirt and beloved Classic Skirt, which look beautiful together but are just as lovely when paired with pieces you already own. We can imagine the Classic Skirt with a chunky woollen sweater, or Clementine with your favourite trousers, allowing a little Crimson Tartan to find its way into everyday outfits without necessarily wearing it from head to toe.

These styles make up our first little chapter of the colder season, and we hope you will find something here that feels very much like you.
Why Are We Introducing Them So Early?
There is fabric to prepare, cutting to organise, garments to sew, details to finish, quality to check, and parcels to send on their way, and when everything is made here in Lithuania, by real people and real hands, all of that takes time. Some fabrics are also more demanding to work with than others, especially when patterns need to be carefully aligned and every detail matters, so even with the best planning, production can sometimes take longer than expected.
Our new Fall & Winter 2026 collection color Twilight Tartan reminded us how important it is to plan a little further ahead, especially when the festive season is approaching and so many of our dresses are travelling across the world to reach their new homes.
This is why we decided to introduce our Cozy Season Staples now, giving you more time to discover the styles, choose what you love, consider your size, and place your order without the last-minute pressure that so often comes with November and December.
It also gives our team a little more breathing room to prepare everything with the care it deserves, because as much as we would love to make every dress appear overnight, we know that good work takes time, and we would rather be open about that than promise something we cannot always control.

Of course, we cannot guarantee that unexpected delays will never happen, but we can learn from experience, adjust our planning, and do our very best to make the journey from our sewing room to your wardrobe a little smoother.
And in a way, this feels like a much nicer way to welcome the festive season, without rushing into it before autumn has even finished sharing its beauty with us.
The Dress We Remember
There is another reason why we feel particularly close to this little collection, and it has much more to do with memories than with fashion.
When we think about festive clothing, our thoughts often travel back to childhood, to those years when celebrations seemed to have their own particular atmosphere and everything felt a little more magical. We remember the familiar faces around the table, the smells coming from the kitchen, the sound of people arriving, and the beautiful dresses our mothers wore on those special days, sometimes without even realising how deeply those little details would stay with us.
In fact, one of those linen dresses played a part in the very beginning of Son de Flor.
We still remember our mother's dress from childhood, the kind of dress that stayed in our memory long after the years had passed, carrying something that went far beyond its fabric or silhouette. It was a feeling, a little piece of home, and a reminder of how closely the clothes we wear can become connected to the people we love and the moments we share with them.
And maybe this is one of the reasons we have always believed that a dress can be so much more than something we put on in the morning.
We would love to think that somewhere, years from now, a child will remember her mother wearing a Crimson Tartan linen dress, whether it was while decorating the Christmas tree, baking something in the kitchen, welcoming grandparents, or simply sitting together on a quiet winter afternoon. She might remember the way the linen skirt moved, the colour of the fabric, or how her mother looked and felt wearing it, and those little memories might stay with her long after the dress itself has become familiar.
And then, the following year, that same dress might come out of the wardrobe again, and the year after that, and again many years later, until it becomes one of those pieces that feels like a natural part of the season, something everyone recognises and somehow expects to see.
We love that thought, because a linen dress doesn't have to be new to feel special, and in many ways, the pieces we have worn and loved for years become even more precious as time goes by.

If cared for properly, washed gently, stored thoughtfully, and repaired when needed, a well-made linen dress has every chance of staying with us for a very long time, becoming softer and more familiar with every season.
We can make a dress. Only time can make it timeless.
And who knows, one day one of these dresses might become just like the dress our mother wore all those years ago, the one that eventually helped inspire Son de Flor, carrying its own little collection of memories into another generation. What a lovely thought that is!
A Season to Wear, Not Just to Celebrate
We also wanted to share a little thought about festive clothing in general, because we have never been particularly fond of the idea that a dress should be bought for one evening and then spend the rest of its life waiting in the wardrobe for another special occasion.
Especially when that dress is made from beautiful natural linen, a fabric that becomes softer with wear and feels so wonderful when it is allowed to be part of everyday life.
Crimson Tartan may have a festive soul, but we see it belonging just as much to the everyday beauty of autumn and winter, to countryside walks, ordinary Tuesdays, Sunday lunches, family visits, and those afternoons when you simply feel like wearing something lovely for no particular reason.
The Classic Skirt can be paired with a woollen sweater, the Clementine Shirt can be worn with trousers or jeans, and the dresses can travel through the seasons with different layers, shoes, and accessories, changing their character depending on how you choose to wear them.
We hope you will wear these pieces often, allow them to become softer and more familiar with time, and make them your own, because the clothes we remember most fondly are rarely the ones we kept untouched for a special occasion, but those that were there with us through so many ordinary and extraordinary moments.
And There Is More to Come...
Our Cozy Season Staples are just the beginning of what we have planned for the coming months, and although we are already looking forward to sharing more, we would love to let October have its beautiful moment first.
Once the pumpkins, autumn walks, and Halloween celebrations are behind us, we will be turning the page to another chapter, and in November we will introduce our wider Christmas Gift Collection, with more thoughtful ideas for the people we love and, of course, a little something for ourselves, too.
For now, though, we are very happy to stay right here, somewhere between golden autumn leaves and the first thoughts of winter, enjoying a little Crimson Tartan, and the comforting feeling that another cozy season is slowly making its way into our lives.

We hope these pieces will find their way into your everyday life, your family gatherings, your photographs, and all those little moments that may not seem particularly important today but will one day become beautiful memories.
And if one of them becomes the dress you reach for year after year, whenever the festivities come knocking at your door, well, we couldn't wish for anything more.
With love from Lithuania,
Son de Flor Girls 🌿
