Every collection begins with hundreds of decisions. Some are visible the moment you slip into a dress. Others stay hidden, gently stitched into every seam, every button, and every metre of our beloved linen. As we prepare to welcome our Fall & Winter 2026 fairy tale, we wanted to share a few of those decisions with you. 

While many of our garments remain at the same price, a few will gently change. We know every change asks something from the people who choose us, and we never take that trust for granted. 

When we sat around the table planning this collection, we realised that the easiest decisions were often the ones that asked us to let go of something we care deeply about. We could have produced farther away, chosen less expensive fabrics, used a little less linen, narrowed our skirts, removed a pocket here and there, simplified the construction, or quietly replaced natural details with synthetic ones. 

Instead, we chose to stay true to the peace of our hearts and our home. 

Every piece in the soon-to-be-revealed collection is made in Lithuania from 100% linen. Last season we briefly explored working with linen beyond our borders, yet it reminded us that home is exactly where we belong. We know our mills, we know the people behind our fabric, and we know every step that turns a field of flax into the dress that arrives at your doorstep. 

Our linen continues to carry internationally recognised certifications, including OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 and European Flax®, reflecting the quality, traceability and care behind every metre we choose to work with. 

When we design a Son  de Flor dress, we never ask how little linen fabric we can use. Instead, we ask what the garment needs to become the most beautiful version of itself. Many of our dresses require four to five metres of linen. Their generous silhouettes, deep pockets, thoughtful tailoring, linen trims, lace details and richly woven fabrics ask for more time, more material and more hands.

We know there are easier ways.  But we have never tried to make the cheapest linen dress. We've simply tried to make one we're proud to send into the world. If someone picks up a Son de Flor dress ten years from now and thinks, "Someone really cared while making this," we'll know we've done our job well. 

With the Fall & Winter 2026 launch, many pieces will already be waiting for your choice in our warehouse, while a few will still be making their way from our sewing room.

Last year we invested heavily in ready-to-ship stock as we wanted your linen dresses to arrive quickly, and seeing parcels reach women around the world within days brought us enormous joy.  This season, we're choosing a slower rhythm. We'll produce a little less, think a little longer, and trust our intuition a little more. Every style remains size-inclusive because beautiful clothing should belong to every woman, while we continue learning what truly deserves to be made. 

We also know that handmade things are wonderfully human. Buttons sometimes betray us, zippers occasionally ask for attention, a seam may surprise us after years of faithful wear. If that ever happens, reach out to us. We know our garments by heart, and we'll always do our best to help them continue their journey by your side!

In a world that often encourages replacing instead of repairing, we believe in making one dress that stays with you for years rather than several that quietly disappear after one season. We can't help but imagine...you opening your wardrobe three, five, or even ten years from now and reaching for the very same linen dress, softened by time and carrying memories that only life can give. 

That, to us, is success.
