Upcycle, Create, Repeat — The Son de Flor Way

Linen has this quiet way of holding on to memories — the feel of hands, the softness that comes from being close to the earth, the stories stitched into every fold. And in the middle of making something beautiful, there are always tiny pieces that fall to the side. Scraps. Threads. Bits of lace. Things that seem small but still feel alive.

With our up-cycling muse Olesia Les, we kept looking at these leftovers and thinking, there’s still so much soul in them. It felt wrong to let them go. So we gathered them all up, gently, almost the way you’d pick up fallen petals, and turned them into something you can play with, cherish, or simply enjoy during a quiet moment.

These four kits originated from that feeling — not perfection, not productivity, but a desire to slow down and create something with your hands.

1.  Scraps to Crafts – A Tiny World of Imagination

There’s something sweet about tiny things — tiny toys, tiny bells, tiny handmade treasures you can tuck into someone’s hand. This kit is full of those possibilities. It’s made from leftover linen pieces that were too lovely to throw away, and now they’re ready to become brooches, keychains, little ornaments… whatever your heart decides.

There are stencils to spark ideas, but honestly, your own imagination is the main ingredient here. The joy is in the making — in the uneven stitches, the soft fabric, the sound of a little bell attached to something you created.

Inside the kit:
  • Linen Scraps
  • Carabiners (x2)
  • Tiny Bells (x4)
  • Safety Pins (x4)
  • Tiny Scissors
  • Needles (x2)
  • Thread
  • Tiny Beads (x4)
  • Pattern Stencils (x10)
  • Linen Bag
  • Intro Card
It’s a small kit, but it carries a quiet message: nothing is ever “just a scrap” if you choose to love it.

2. Wrapping Set – A Gift Within a Gift

Some gifts feel extra special not because of what’s inside, but because of how they’re given. Soft linen tied around a box, a piece of lace draped like a memory, a little doodle made just for the person receiving it. This wrapping set was made for those moments.

We gathered leftover lace and linen that once belonged to our garments — pieces with their own history — and put them together so you can wrap your gifts in a way that feels personal and warm. The stencils make it easy to add little drawings or shapes that bring everything to life.

Inside the kit:
  • Linen Scraps
  • Stencils (x8)
  • Intro Card
For holidays, birthdays, or simply “I thought of you today,” this kit helps you wrap slowly, thoughtfully, and with heart.

3. Embroidery Kit – Stitching Calm Into Cloth

Embroidery has a way of slowing time down. The thread moves through fabric, and for a moment, everything gets quiet. This kit is meant for those peaceful moments — the ones where you want to breathe a little deeper and focus on something small and gentle.

The linen neckie inside is simple, soft, and blank — a little square waiting for your story. We added threads, needles, an embroidery hoop, and stencils so you can begin without overthinking. The water-soluble paper makes it easy to trace whatever you want to stitch. Just press it on, sew over it, and watch your idea come to life.

Inside the kit:
  • Linen Neckie (50 x 50 cm)
  • Needles (x2)
  • Thread (x2)
  • Embroidery Hoop
  • Water-Soluble Embroidery Paper
  • Pattern Stencils (x10)
  • Linen Bag
  • Intro Card
  • Instructions
It’s not just a craft. It’s a tiny break for your spirit, a soft return to yourself.

4. Large Embroidery Kit – The Art of Slow Beauty

Some projects become companions. They sit with you on quiet afternoons, they travel from table to couch to bed, they grow slowly — a little like we do. This large embroidery kit is one of those projects.

It comes with our Palisandra Shawl, a big, flowing piece of linen that feels like a gently waiting canvas. You can embroider flowers, symbols, words… anything that means something to you. With all the tools inside, you can start right away and let the stitching become its own kind of meditation.

Inside the kit:
  • Palisandra Shawl (150 x 150 cm)
  • Needles (x2)
  • Thread (x4)
  • Embroidery Hoop
  • Water-Soluble Embroidery Paper
  • Pattern Stencils (x10)
  • Linen Bag
  • Intro Card
  • Instructions
Over time, the shawl becomes more than something to wear — it becomes something you live with, stitched with your own patience and emotion.

A Little Love for the Leftovers

These four kits started with a simple desire: to give our leftover linen another chance. But they’ve become something more — a way to reconnect with our hands, with slowness, with small joys that don’t need to be perfect to be meaningful.
Making something from scraps reminds you that beauty doesn’t demand perfection. It just asks for a bit of attention… and maybe a quiet moment to yourself.
If you want it to be even more emotional, raw, conversational, or magical, I can continue adjusting until it feels exactly right.
