The Little Black Dress Edit

This October, we are returning to one of the most enduring ideas in a woman’s wardrobe: the Little Black Dress.

Black has travelled through centuries carrying very different meanings - mourning and devotion, elegance and rebellion, formality and freedom - and somehow it has never stopped feeling relevant.

We love it for a simpler reason too: black leaves room for the woman wearing it.

Many of our own black linen pieces have already become forever favourites - Classic Dress and Skirt, Wrap Dress and Skirt, Carmen, Ophelia, Pinafore and others that our ladies return to year after year, with quite a few currently waiting in our Ready to Ship section.

For October, we also wanted to play with the imagination a little, so we dressed some of our newer silhouettes in black: Margot & Dawn, together with a few black-and-white variations - Margot & Dawn dresses with a White Collar and Wander Dress with a White Collar and cuff details. These special versions will be Made to Order, rather than joining our permanent collection.
