The Art of Letters

Letter writing has a history that goes back thousands of years.  And yet letters continue travelling even though the digital age technologies took over. Let's go down the memory lane and remember little notes passed in the classroom; postcards of secret admirer in the mail; designs of postage stamps; letter paper; careful choice of ink and the joy of putting the letter in a post box. So dear to us yet so rear these days the moment of receiving a handwritten letter. Wonder if letters have the destiny of phone books? Once so needed and appreciated and not just a mark in a history of communication.

Handwritten thoughts dedicated to someone in a letter are a deeply personal matter. A special bond so simple yet so precious. Even the letter itself says a lot, beyond just the words on the page:

I wrote you because I wanted to, not because I have to...

Surprising you because you are so dear to me…

A little something to remember me…

I care about you…

Unfolding the piece of paper that was chosen as a canvas for the thoughts, reading and rereading it the next day, or keeping it for memory. No phone call or an email will ever be able to replace it. And even at this moment, all the little notes and cards you have ever sent to us are pinned gracefully on our wall. Keeps lovely memories and motivates dearly... So good to know we are surrounded by timeless romantics.

Letters of Love...

We wish everybody would receive a love letter at least once. Be brave romantic dreamer and send one too.

“I’d like to paint you, but there are no colors, because there are so many, in my confusion, the tangible form of my great love.”
— Frida Kahlo, to her fellow artist husband, Diego Rivera

Why we add Postcards to your orders and a little note in the pocket of the dress?

To inspire. To surprise. To let you know how dear you are to us. A small nudge for you to slow down, take a break from the screen and take the time to write your thoughts with ease.

Have a lovely day and may you receive a real letter soon!
