Happy Pancakes Day!

Today it’s legal to have a rich sweet gluten-full breakfast: pancakes on our radar. With sugar or marmalade, maple syrup or melted butter, honey or raspberry jam.. We start fasting tomorrow, but today we feast!

And since all the sweet ingredients are already on the table, there only remains to prepare the pancakes themselves. Today we want to pamper you with a recipe of American pancakes, yes, the thick spongy ones. Easy to cook by dolloping the batter onto a hot griddle or heavy based pan.

To serve 4 to 6 people, we will need:

1 tablespoon baking powder
1 pinch of salt
1 teaspoon white sugar
2 large eggs
30 gr butter (melted and cooled)
300 ml milk
225 gr plain flour
butter for frying

All we need to do is to put all the ingredients into a blender and mix. Heat up the pan on the stove and pour the batter. To bake great pancakes it's important to remember - when a pancake is blistering and bubbling, it’s time to cook the second side. That’s about it.

Enjoy the pancakes,
enjoy the celebration!
